The annual rodeo features events of barrel racing, ranch bronc, bull riding, ladies steer undecorating, calf roping… and of corse the crowd favorite. “THE PONY EXPRESS” competition. The pony express features 8 member teams both men and women in a baton exchange relay race starting from the “jump-start” racing a lap around four barrels, handing off to the next leg with the baton until the last lap ending by placing the baton in the 5th barrel.

The rodeo runs for seven hours or more with cash prizes and points towards towards competing in the annual Bill Pickett invitational championship Rodeo held in the Nations Capitol in late September.” (Brian Branch-Price/TheFotoDesk).
