The wedding of Pam Battle and Romaine Taylor at the Saurlands recreation center in Round Valley, New Jersey on Saturday May 18 2024. The wedding had a 6 person cowboy procession on horseback in front of nearly two hundred guests. Pam’s horse Tobias was a little jumpy and ran away from the crowd but settled down a short time later. After dismounting Pam’s son Ed assisted her and gave her away. The ceremony went of without a hitch until it was time for the rings. The best man did not have the rings. Instead the couples dog Knox and ring bearer had the rings secure to his collar. When summoned he ran with joy to the couple and presented the rings.

Within minutes the preacher announced them married, Romaine kissed the bride and both preceded to jump the broom before guests under a drizzly, wet, wedding. The couple proceeded with their dance after a slight mix up with a song from Kenny Lattimore’s “For You” the swiftly approached the DJ for the correct song enchanted by Leela James’ 2014 hit “Fall For You.” The bridal party swiftly joined in. Fotos were taken of family and the couple. For the reception they styled a Cowboy meal line severed by volunteers.
