Panther cubs work out at Dew Drop Boxing Gymnasium in Newark, New Jersey on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. The Panther Cubs, an after school program of the New Black Panther Party Community action group. Africa, Panther organizer, brings a van load of children up to about 20 on Mondays and Tuesday.
The Panther cub’s was started year ago after Africa’s group “got a report saying the 5th graders couldn’t read.” Africa added the purpose of the program was to make sure the children had the ability to read and read everyday.”
