BLOWING ROCK, NORTH CAROLINA: Major Taylor Mountain Summit cyclists gather on a re-group during the viaduct loop at the annual summit held in Blowing Rock, NC on Wednesday, April 22, 2021. 60 cyclist registered for the event which is it’s 20th anniversary. This year summit’s activities were cut due to the pandemic but manages two days of riding that including season riders, racers and pros. The courses ran through Ashe County and parts of Tennessee on and off and around the the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Summit is geared to what spring training is in baseball.
This year training was to include upwards of 14,000 feet of climbing but because of cold and rainy weather the summit was shorten to two days. (Brian B. Price/Thefotodesk)
