WEST POINT, NEW YORK: Rev.Rev. ROBERT DIXON, 100 of Albany, NY was honored during the annual Buffalo Soldiers Association of West Point Awards ceremony and Buffalo Soldier Statute dedication at West Point, New York on Sunday, September 4, 2022. The Buffalo Soldiers, of the 9th and 10th calvary, and coined by the Cheyenne People served in the US Army from 1866-1945.While the they also served in the Spanish–American War, Cuba, Philippine–American War, World War I and the 24th infantry regiment fought in the pacific during World Ward II most of the regiment served has instructors at West Point during that time.
